Cholesterol is a fatty substance found in the blood. It’s produced naturally, and while everyone needs a certain amount to stay healthy, too much “bad” cholesterol, known as non-high-density lipoproteins or non-HDL, can cause a buildup in the walls of blood vessels.

To assess how much a person’s arteries are blocked, a specialist test known as a carotid artery test may be performed. Something Bradley called “game-changing.”

The test can detect how much “furring” a person has. This refers to the amount of fatty deposits that have built up in the walls of the arteries and how close they can be to a potentially life-threatening stroke.

Heeding the doctors’ warning, Bradley made some drastic changes to his diet and lifestyle. The star started eating more fruits, vegetables, salads and fish and became aware of hidden sugars.

“This was literally just before the lockdown,” explained Bradley. “Then the lockdown hit. I stepped on the scale and saw that I had hit 14th 9lbs, the heaviest I’ve ever been. I was really big.
