‘Oh my! All this from the same ex?’ A commentator asked.

‘New!’ Ireland replied.

She also discussed her relationship with her father Alec Baldwin and admitted that he wasn’t the ideal person to turn to when it came to her anxiety.

“I went through so much before I really got help,” Ireland told Willow Smith. “I was in an abusive relationship and I went to a treatment center. So I’ve been through many different kinds of abuse, I’ve been in physically abusive relationships and for so long I didn’t want to call, just like I didn’t want to mention my anxiety, I did’ I don’t want the abuse I’ve experienced in many ways to mention.’

‘I had mistreated people. Subconsciously because I don’t hit them or I don’t get physical, but there was a lot of learning I had to do and a lot of acceptance of “Okay wait, that was abusive behavior.” I was an abuser towards someone else. But at that point I just hit a complete breaking point,” Ireland said.

“And I was self-medicating with Xanax and I was drinking, and I have a lot of alcohol and drug addiction in my family,” Ireland explained. “I had a night where I went way too far with drinking and taking pills because I couldn’t even go to bed at night, I was so scared of this relationship,” she said.

“When I went to this drug and alcohol treatment center, I found out that I was not addicted to a substance, but that I am addicted to wanting to fix people. That’s my addiction. I would fixate on anything until it shattered everything around me.”

“That relationship had brought a lot of shady people into my life. I had isolated all my real friends, isolated my family. I had no control over anything in my life. I tortured myself with my eating disorders that I had.

“I haven’t talked to my parents for about a year,” she said. ‘I saw them here and there, but I was so ashamed of what I had become and how I lived.

‘I just became a different person. I was starving in every way. I was lifeless. And I don’t mean literally skinny, just my soul, everything had just shrunk.’

Ireland says it was her cousin Alaia who ‘saved’ her life.

“She was the one who booked the ticket from New York and came to LA to see me. She said, “Something’s going on. I feel something,” Baldwin said.

“She saved my life. I think I would have killed myself or I would have been dead for sure. I was so close. I felt that the time had come. And she saved my life. She got me out.’
